Accepting CCAP
We are a developmental preschool and we encourage preschool age (2 1/2 to 6 years old) children to learn by exploring their environment. The children will be exposed to many different areas of interest during the day which will help them with the ability to make choices. We emphasize sharing, cooperation and good listening skills. Our focus is on the whole child; mind, body and spirit, thereby promoting the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of each child. Our hope is that each child will achieve a great feeling of self worth and build a positive self-image.
During the course of the day your child will experience some of the following activities:

The Early Learning Center is participating in Campbell's Bar Codes for Education program so that we can get free stuff for our school. If you would like to help us please cut the UPC box from the packages and place the UPCs in our Campbell's collection bins located in the foyer at the north end of the building. We posted a handy list of products included in the program. Please contact Jane Stallsworth for more information.
Jump Bunch Class - we started Bunch classes in mid February. Jump bunch is a sports and fitness class for kids. Jump Bunch helps:
Build coordination and interest in sports
Teaches through constant praise and encouragement
Offers a safe, non-competitive environment
Promotes healthy fitness and nutrition habits
CiCi's Pizza at 10048 Grant Street in Thornton
is offering a Yum-tastic fund raising opportunity for St. John's ELC.
The 2nd Monday of every month; this month will be Monday, January 12. CiCi's will donate a
portion of your bill when you purchase salad and pizza items from their lunch
menu starting at 11 .m. that day. You must tell the cashier in advance
that you are with St. John's Early Learning Center. Tell your friends and
family and invite a co-worker to lunch.
